Sparks of creativity flared up when P1 and P2 students transformed pictures of their choice into a stop motion video!
A few days previously, Alison and I had shared The Mysterious Glow with young and grown-up at Schule Maladers, a branch of Stadtschule Chur.
Unquestionably, the 5 to 12 year olds and their teachers all got captivated by the 45-minutes performance: storytelling paired with enchanting flute tunes. Then, the students asked their many questions without reservation:
“How did you come up with the idea for the story?”, “Is it difficult to make a book?”, “How long did it take you to finish the book?”, “Are you rich now?”, “Why did you choose a wild boar?”
Thereafter, the kids swarmed out into the class rooms and got creative themselves.
The peaceful atmosphere showed in attentive interactions across age groups and in open hearts for all kinds of feelings. In brief, the morning definitely left a lasting mark on the village school community.
